reports September 2025

September 30st, 2025 - click pic collages & albums to enlarge

Until my return to Seychelles at last on the 20th and since, this September has been a fairly normal one as far as the mostly strong Southeast Monsoon is concerned, and thus the rather limited fishing activity. Spells that allowed for trips at sea were rare and only for the really seaworthy. I had kept in touch with Mervin who did not fish at all and also Andre who saw his sons Greg & Phil doing a couple of trips early and late this month. Apart from a very short popping stint that saw them losing a GT under the boat it was all trolling on the plateau with the expectable mix of not too large Tuna, some Wahoos and the occasional Sailfish in between.

Similar were the results of the other few boats that had any trips this month and Julien had a Marlin that looked like +200kg. Now everyone is hopeful that we might see the Southeast wind slowing early this month but if that really happens we will have to wait and see.
